I absolutely love this little gem! What a friendly, family oriented place! The breakfast is amazing and the service is top notch! Whether you live in Raleigh or are just passing thru, you have to eat here!

The breakfast we had was absolutely delicious, the price was surprisingly reasonable, the service was attentive. Those pancakes were not only fluffy and delicious, but ginormous! What a great local eatery!

Food was excellent. Unfortunately unable to dine inside because of the current state of affairs. It was a pretty day do I ate in my car in the parking lot. If this situation goes a little long term maybe restaurants like this can add a few picnic tables if they have the room . The food was delicious, beef over rice , corn & Lima beans . Server at the serving window was very nice and upbeat .Thank you to all of you in the restaurant service industry and everything you do. Remember to tip well !!

The food is always awesome and the service is great. I have had great meatloaf, out of this world catfish, fried pork chop, it's all great. Had the chance to take my mom a while back, she was shocked at the flavor of the shrimp. She said it was the best she ever had. And that is some statement, as she grew up at the coast. If you want real food, check out Watkins Grill, it's always good.

Phenomenal fried chicken. Moist, juicy, flavorful. Highly recommend the chicken sandwich with reaper oil if you like spicy food. Bread does get a little soggy but flavor makes up for it.

I LOVED THIS PLACE. I’m a small town country girl that has been living in Raleigh for 4 years. Not once has Raleigh ever felt like home, until this morning. The moment I walked in the door I felt at home. Breakfast was amazing and the family was awesome!

Tasteful breakfast, big plates , great coffee! Hate to waste food but man there plates are big and GOOD! I’m so darn fool! Great prices and ice water was fresh and clean!

Excellent Diner to go to for just downright good home cooking food with lots of many a times to choose from. Downside is it's cash only.Highly recommend for a quick relaxing meal with good food. Description is it looks like a hole in the wall but has good food.

Great southern diner. The staff is very friendly and quick with a joke if you crack some jokes. Pretty small place and it gets a little warm in the summer. Food is fantastic and cheap. If you like grits, order a grit bowl (it's not on the menu).

A GOOD weekend, for us, usually starts with early breakfast at Watkin's Grill.

Friendly sevice, food was hot and fresh. I would recommend everyone to try this place cause this is asclose as you can get to your mama's home country cooking.

y’all wanna know where to get some GOOD BBQ? go over to that McDonald’s on capital blvd, my cousin nancy saved up some McRib meat from the holidays and she makes a killer bbq sandwich with all the fixings . just tell em terrible tina sent ya and she’ll take care of you alright . They don’t call her no nonsense Nancy for no reason Amiright? 😂😂💯

You guys this place is awesome. The people are great. The food is good. We come to this place for lunch and breakfast when I do NOT feel like cooking a home cooked meal. I like their grits, French toast, eggs, and lastly when I was expecting burnt red hots. They fix everything to order. Its family owned so you know they mean business.

First time eating here. The food was good and the people just kept coming in. Only downside to me was they don't take cards. Not a lot of people carry cash these days. They had an atm machine on the outside of the building.

really? how does this place have such good reviews? we waited AN HOUR for eggs and toast, EVERYTHING was cold, the toast was hard, the steak was raw, and my chicken fried steak didn't have gravy. we were brought a bowl of fruit that we didn't order and was well past being thrown out, strawberries were mush and slightly translucent. the blueberries had white(possibly mold) on them. I'm disappointed with this dump

Nice friendly mom and pop type place for traditional breakfast. If you like to meet people this is a great place to meet locals and start your day off. I took off 1 star for condition but don't fret. The place is very old. If you just like new and shinny places to eat breakfast those are available.

Friendly service. As of today the sanitation grade is 90.5. Not terrible, but could be better. The omelettes were great. The sausage gravy, fried fish, and potato salad could have had more flavor, but on the flip side I'm glad they weren't doused in salt. You can season to your personal taste. It has a family, down home, no frills atmosphere.

Nice location but not at all embracing. Located in the middle of town but, not community friendly or inviting. Food was pretty good, wait staff was pleasant but, I won't be back.

Good home cooking. It's always delicious! On Thursday they make stuffed bell peppers with red sauce. Just like Mom's!

Rhonda has had the place for years now. I believe its Raleighs oldest restaurant. Good southern style food. Great service and you wint go away hungry.
